Bright Imaginations Private Preschools of Lakeland welcomes you and your child to a nurturing, accredited learning environment. We have grown to 2 locations in South Lakeland to meet the demand of quality childcare in the Lakeland Area. Our history dates back to 2007. Since that time Bright Imaginations has provided quality childcare for families for over 18 years and graduated over 900 preschoolers into Polk County public, private and magnet school systems; with school readiness rates consistently ranking in the top 5th percentile since the inception of the program.

Our Staff
Our staff members are highly trained and dedicated professionals who are passionate about working with children. They undergo rigorous background checks and are certified in CPR and first aid. They undergo regular training to keep up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and practices, and are dedicated to providing the best possible care and education for each child.

Our Programs
Infants
Serving infants 6 weeks-12 months
Our infant department caregivers are equipped to nurture the little ones in care. Our teachers are trained and certified to recognize key windows of opportunity for growth and development. Bright imaginations has created a responsive environment that addresses the needs and growing abilities and interests of young children.
The structural environment we create involves and is not limited to:
- A loving and nurturing environment
- Daily and weekly lesson planning
- Individualized schedules for infants

- Separate dedicated infant rooms for infants 6 weeks-12 months
- Dedicated transition “wobbler” room for babies 12-18 months

WONDERFUL WOBBLERS 12-18 Months
Bright Imaginations Wobbler rooms are unique in design. Our goals are to constantly provide the best care with each child’s developmental needs in mind. The wobbler room is dedicated to children 12-18 months. In most cases children at this age have developmentally aged-out of the infant room, however, may not be ready to interact with older one-year-olds. In this room, we focus on strengthening independence, balance, self-help skills, social skills and cognitive development.
One Year Old Room 18-24 months
Bright Imaginations Older Ones are fast approaching their second year! At this stage, teachers are nurturing the growing language explosion and propensity to be independent. Through offering play related challenges, repetition and routine.
Milestones taught at this age group:
- Self feeding
- Balance and coordination(walks up and downstairs)
- Names body parts
- Object permanence
Toddlers
Toddler Care 24 months-36 months
Research tells us that the first three years of a child’s life are more critical to a child’s development than we ever imagine. More rapid brain development takes place in these years than at any other time in life. At Bright Imaginations, our teachers and Creative Curriculum provide experiences that help toddlers develop confidence, curiosity, intentionality, self-control, relatedness, the capacity to communicate and cooperativeness.
We achieve this through guiding children in positive ways. Our toddler curriculum builds language and literacy skills through:
- Reading, singing, and providing a print-rich environment
- Actively engaging children in conversation as this period is often deemed the time of “language explosion”
- Math concepts are introduced through exploration of space, sorting and matching objects.
- Teachers provide a varied environment to allow children to touch, taste, look, listen, smell and manipulate objects around them
- Self-help skills are fine-tuned in this age group as your toddler is learning to potty train, eat and drink independently and even dress and groom
Preschool
Preschool Serving children 3yrs to 5yrs
Research supports that students that enter Kindergarten intellectually and socially ahead of their classmates usually remain ahead of their classmates throughout the rest of their school years. Bright Imaginations boasts over a decade of preparing Preschoolers to enter Elementary “Ready to Learn.” Our methods are proven through consistently ranking in the top 5th percentile for School Readiness Rates. Character development is intentionally carved into our daily lessons for promoting positive interaction. Our preschoolers matriculate to Kindergarten with exposure to the entire Kindergarten curriculum and the confidence to “show what they know.”
At Bright Imaginations our preschoolers predominately:
- Speak in complete sentences
- Understand and follow at least 2 step directions
- Understand vocabulary related to position, direction, size and comparison
- Retells stories, recites familiar songs, poems rhymes
- Recognizes and writes name
- Demonstrates book awareness
- Recognizes alphabet and numbers in sequence and in isolation
- Recognizes and recites Kindergarten sight words
